OKC Memorial Marathon Training

2020 will be the 20th annual running of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Yukon RAW will be encouraging all members to train for and participate in this race. Available options include the full/half marathon, marathon relay, 5K, and kids marathon. Throughout the winter & spring, we will be having training runs to help prepare you to have a fun day as we #RUNtoRemember. Training Plans

Below we have provided some training plans, as examples, to help you achieve complete the corresponding distances. The 5K plan is the most entry level and requires no prior experience. The remainder of the plans do recommend a basic fitness level prior to beginning them; not only will this help you be successful in completing them, but it will also help reduce the risk of injury.

We know that each one of you has unique abilities and goals, and there are plans for everyone that may be better for you than the ones linked to below. So feel free to ask in our Facebook group and we can help recommend one of the many other plans available.
